Callum Whitelaw is a Scottish artist based in the East Neuk of Fife who creates abstract works.
Mixed materials featuring acrylics, house paint, marble dust, sand and collage are layered on to the surface of Callum's paintings.
Working using an intuitive and instinctive process works are created by removing and applying layers to create a depth of atmosphere to the paintings.
Callum attended Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art where he was awarded a sholarship to attend Hospitalfield towards the end of his degree.
Depression has meant that until recently that Callum did no painting.
